High Tatras

With pristine snowfields, ultramarine mountain lakes, thundering waterfalls, undulating pine forests and shimmering alpine meadows., the High Tatras are the tallest range in the Carpathian Mountains, towering over most of Eastern Europe. In 1993 it was grouped together with the Polish part of the Tatras mountains, and was declared by the UNESCO to be the "Biospheric reservation of the Tatras" for recognition of their rich biodiversity .
